As part of the Tyne Coast Academy Trust, Walker Riverside Academy have adopted the Trust wide Data Protection Policy.

Tyne Coast Academy Trust (‘Trust’) aims to ensure that all personal data collected about staff, students, parents, trustees, governors, visitors and other individuals is collected, stored and processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018) as set out in the Data Protection Act 2018.

As part of the Tyne Coast Academy Trust, Walker Riverside Academy have adopted the Trust wide Freedom of Information Policy and Procedures.

WRA is subject to Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI) and as such must comply with any requests for information as laid out in the Act. This policy has been developed in line with guidance from the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and outlines procedures for managing requests.

The Freedom of Information Act (2000) (FOI) requires all Public Authorities (including schools) to produce a register of the types of information it will routinely make available to the public.
