Health and Safety Systems

Response to new restrictions:

With the new restrictions being placed on areas of the North East we would like to ensure our WRA community that as we we have rigorous systems in place within the Academy and from Monday 21, September, we will be implementing the following additional preventative measures:

  • All staff will be required to wear a face mask/covering in corridors;

  • Years 10 and 11 will be required to bring their own pocket sanitiser;

  • No parent/carer visits are permitted before 15:00.

Existing safety procedures:

We will continue to adhere to the systems we have already implemented across the Academy, including:

  • Year group 'bubbles' which have staggered start/end times and use different entrances to the building;

  • Carefully organised timetables to ensure 'bubbles' do not come into contact with each other;

  • KS3 classroom bases for all Year 7 and 8 students to avoid them having to move around the building;

  • Designated resources for 'bubbles';

  • Designated toilets for 'bubbles';

  • Sanitiser available in all classrooms and around the Academy;

  • All visitors must wear face masks/coverings whilst onsite;

  • Paused practical lessons across the curriculum;

► You will be able to view our full COVID-19 Risk Assessment HERE once our updates have been approved by our Governing Body. This will be added as soon as possible.
