CORONAVIRUS RESOURCES -
GUIDANCE - LATERAL FLOW TESTS
UPDATE - 22.04.21
Students have received their new allocation of tests this week.
The timetable of distribution will continue in-line with the size of the packs the students have been supplied with (as these can vary).
Students are continuing to receive their Lateral Flow Testing kits from the Academy. We ask students to test themselves twice a week.
Results should be logged with NHS Track and Trace at https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result
Parents can obtain free LFTs for themselves/bubbles via https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests
These tests are not a replacement for the PCR tests. They help to identify those students who may have a high viral load but are not displaying symptoms.
If your child develops symptoms THEY MUST book a PCR test - https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test .
If your child receives a positive Lateral Flow Test (LFT) result, they must book a PCR test and isolate until they receive a negative result - https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test .
If they subsequent PCR test is positive, your child and household must isolate in-line with government guidelines.
Please inform the Academy of any positive results (LTF and PCR). You do not need to inform the Academy of any negative results.
