RETURNING SAFELY TO THE ACADEMY IN SEPTEMBER 2020



This information was guidance provided to our students and parents/carers regarding the re-opening of the Academy.

BOOKLETS

To support our students' learning whilst the Academy was closed from March-September, we created a number of online (Google Classroom) and printed resources.

► Summer Booklets #1 - March 2020

All students who were able to attend the Academy on Friday 20/03/20 received a paper version of the booklet that corresponds to their year group.

► Summer Booklets #2 - April 2020

Year 10 received booklets through the post containing ENGLISH, MATHS and SCIENCE.

Year 10 non-core subject tasks were available HERE.

► Summer Booklets #3 - June 2020

These booklets were again designed to allow students to complete the activities on paper. Booklets were printed and posted starting Monday 1st June.

► Summer Booklets #4 - July 2020

These booklets were again designed to allow students to complete the activities on paper. Booklets were printed and posted starting Monday 29th June.

EXTRA LEARNING SUPPORT/RESOURSES

BBC BITESIZE

Whilst are students were learning offsite they were asked to focus on the learning provided by their teachers as they were carefully considered to ensure students were making the best progress possible whilst we were closed.

Students learning could be supplemented by visiting BBC Bitesize for their Autumn term resources.

DfE ONLINE EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES

The Department for Education have brought together an initial list of online educational resources to help children to learn at home.

These websites have been identified by some of the country’s leading educational experts and offer a wide range of support and resources for students of all ages.
