Well done to all of those students who are continuing to learn at home; it is important that you continue to keep up with the work supplied by your teachers so you are ready to hit the ground running when we are able to re-open the Academy.

Thanks to the effort of the whole of our Walker Riverside Academy we continue to ensure our Academy stays open and is providing the very best education and support to all of our families.

In the unfortunate event that your child is asked to self isolate please refer to our guide below or download it HERE.

We are currently working to strengthen our online offer to support our students' learning should they be required to self-isolate. Our training day on Friday 23 October will ensure we can continue to offer our students the best opportunity to make good progress with their learning.

    • If a student is required to self-isolate and work from home, all teaching should be accessed through Google Classroom.

    • Students can support their learning using the Knowledge Organisers for each of their subjects' topics.

    • Teachers will continue to carry out welfare and engagement checks with students whilst they are off-site.

It is very important that you stay in contact with your teachers throughout your time out of school.

In case you are unsure of your teachers' email addresses, contact the Head of Department for that subject and ask them for your teacher's email address. Head of Department emails are available below.

Whilst you are at home you should be focusing on the learning suggestions made by your teachers. They have been carefully considered to ensure you are making the best progress possible whilst we are closed, and to make sure you are ready to re-start our curriculum on our return.
